As Lead Frontend Engineer, you’ll help define the architecture, improve performance, and enhance the user experience across our mobile and web applications. You’ll lead by example—writing and generating elegant, scalable code—while also supporting engineers, influencing product decisions, and contributing to high-level technical strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and hardware teams to deliver best-in-class user experiences that make a tangible difference to our customers’ lives.
We’re looking for a collaborative thinker who’s still hands-on, someone who thrives in ambiguity, cares deeply about customer outcomes, and can bring others on the journey. This is a rare opportunity to make a big impact at a fast-moving, mission-driven company.
What you’ll do
- Lead the architecture and implementation of key web and mobile features.
- Bring a strong product lens — you’ll work closely with design and product to make smart trade-offs and ship high-impact experiences fast.
- Use AI tools (like Copilot or Cursor) to move quickly without compromising on readability or quality.
- Set the standard for how we build: thoughtful code, great performance, clean design, and systems that scale.
- Help evolve our design system and frontend patterns — Tailwind and Storybook are part of the picture.
- Support and guide other engineers, reviewing code and sharing context freely.
- Stay hands-on. You’ll be close to the work, helping shape it.
- Keep frontend experiences fast and reliable, including when things go sideways. We support our systems end-to-end.
You’ll be great if you
- Are experienced with React and have strong opinions on frontend architecture and design systems.
- Think like a product engineer: you care about the customer experience, not just clean code, and you have the experience to back this.
- Know how to use AI tools well — not just as shortcuts, but to lift team output and focus on the harder stuff.
- Have a track record of shipping software in cross-functional teams.
- Are comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where adaptability beats perfection.
- Understand how to build for performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Bonus points if you’ve worked in React Native, scaled design systems, worked with native mobile products, or mentored other engineers.
- A degree in software engineering or equivalent is a bonus, but is not a must-have.
