Lead Process Engineer

Bangkok
Hardware & Hardware Operations – Production /
Full-time /
On-site
About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on, high-impact process engineer to lead assembly process development at our factory in Thailand as we scale up high-volume manufacturing. Our collars operate in some of the toughest outdoor conditions in the world — ultra-reliable processes are non-negotiable.

You’ll be responsible for designing, optimising, and scaling end-to-end assembly processes — from manual to fully automated — working directly with teams across Thailand, China, and New Zealand. You’ll collaborate closely with our design engineers to meet tight product specs and build hardware that performs on farm, every time.

If you’re a process expert who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves getting stuck into real-world problems, this role is for you.

What your day could look like

    • Setting up highly consistent gluing, encapsulation, or lamination processes. You will select the equipment, get hands-on to understand the fundamentals, set up based on first principles and then implement quality controls to maintain them.
    • Implementing manual, semi-automated and fully automated assembly processes. Identifying the right solution for the processes to ramp our high volume further. Use automation to increase quality and decrease assembly cost.
    • Using statistical process control, error proofing, line balancing and standardisation to maintain a high level of process efficiency and consistency.
    • Troubleshooting production process issues, triaging and leading the team to a root cause using a first principles approach.
    • Mentoring more junior members of the team on production processes.
    • Working with our contract manufacturing partners and suppliers to maintain excellent quality, meet process output demand and deliver process projects.
    •  Provide feedback and ensure effective and timely corrective actions.

Who we’re looking for

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar field is highly desired
    • 5+ years of experience in shipping high-volume products. Production of electromechanical products is preferred.
    • Experience with implementing highly reliable mechanical assembly and dispensing processes (e.g. gluing, lamination or potting).
    • Previous experience utilising production data and key performance indicators to drive results, and reporting on them to the business.
    • Willing to regularly travel internationally (Estimated 10-25% of the year).
    • Someone who is positive and will thrive in a self-motivated and demanding startup atmosphere.
