This full-time position is remote.

HPS Creative is the firm's in-house creative agency. HPS Creative blends the firm's hallmark analytical and communications expertise with storytelling, design, and technology to help clients increase the accessibility, reach, and emotional resonance of their ideas. We work across the firm's client portfolio, developing creative solutions and campaign concepts that help meet our audiences where they are with research, data, and storytelling that have the power to shape perspectives and inspire action on the issues that matter most.

Summary of Position: HPS is seeking a Strategy Director to join our Creative team. Strategy Directors at HPS Creative lead multiple client engagements and internal projects within an engaging, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. Strategy Directors are responsible for leading all components of client and internal project management: strategy development, daily client management, organizing teamwork internally, and guiding and mentoring associates and interns in their work. 

The successful candidate has 4-7 years of relevant experience managing accounts at a creative agency or in advertising/marketing, is intellectually curious, eager to learn and contribute, and has an interest in developing creative solutions that help shape public policy.

Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Day to day, a Strategy Director's work consists of engaging with clients to understand their needs and conceptualize potential creative solutions, campaigns, or products, and working with creative team associates, designers, and other production team members to bring those deliverables to life. The role involves creative strategy, client management, project and team management, and some business development support.
+ An ideal candidate will have a good understanding of brand strategy and digital storytelling and will bring deep experience formulating creative, emotionally compelling, substantively engaging concepts for campaigns, digital products, and creative content.
+ While the strategist needs to understand the fundamentals of branding and design in order to factor in feasibility and practicality constraints, their role will be higher-level— more focused on the macro strategic choices within the realms of brand strategy, campaign development, advertising, and digital strategy, rather than on details of design or production. However, they would need to be able to speak to those more concrete production elements as part of a broader strategic conversation.
+ The strategist interacts with clients, everyone on the HPS Creative team, vendors/contractors, and others within the main HPS function (i.e., the broader HPS communications team).

+  4-7 years of professional experience in creative services, marketing, advertising, or a related field
+ Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate talented, high-achieving teams, empowering different types of personalities with a team-first mentality 
+ Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
+ Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities
+ Willingness to learn new skills and participate in new projects, leading by example and embracing new challenges
