Benefits and Compliance Manager

The Role:
The Benefits and Compliance Manager will plan, develop, and coordinate human resource functions
across the Ballast Research, Hamilton Place Strategies, and Flag Media Analytics teams. This role will
support legal compliance, payroll coordination, and benefits administration across the three companies
and drive integration across the organization’s diverse business units.

Overview of Responsibilities:
-- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand and execute the organization’s goals and
strategy related to benefits, performance, integration, and growth.
-- Oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to,
compensation, benefits, leave, and occupational health and safety.
-- Ensures the timely and accurate administration of multi-state payroll processes for all exempt and
non-exempt employees.
-- Processes new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits,
timesheet data, signing bonuses, and special payments.
-- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment
laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and
practices to maintain compliance.
-- Plans, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to
support the organization’s human resource compliance needs.
-- Partners on disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations as needed.
-- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in
human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to
communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

Required Qualifications:
-- 5-7 years of human resource management experience.
-- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
-- One or more years in payroll and benefits administration.
-- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills.
-- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, while
maintaining strong attention to detail.
-- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
-- Experience managing through mergers, acquisitions, and integrations.

Desired Qualifications:
-- Master's degree.
-- Experience onboarding new HRIS systems.
-- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
-- Experience with multi-state and international organizations.
