Founded in 2007, Gotham Research Group (GRG) is a New York-based research and consulting firm that delivers customized insights to management teams in all 11 sectors of the S&P 500, trade associations, and advocacy groups, as well as public officials and political candidates.
 
Gotham specializes in innovative custom research designed to inform branding/positioning initiatives, advertising campaigns, policy issue campaigns, crisis communications, and digital strategy.  Gotham's research programs employ a range of research tools (telephone/online surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, market mix modeling) as well as a unique set of proprietary methodologies designed to enhance our ability to create more actionable and predictive information for our clients. 

Primary day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around managing many different types of research engagements, both quantitative and qualitative, global and US-based.  The position will manage the end-to-end research projects from designing the research instrument to the first pass of data analysis and creating reports that are visually appealing and answer the client’s business questions while working closely with other team members. 

Responsibilities:
+ Act as the primary point person for client interactions on most engagements, which may involve daily touchpoints or less regular interactions, and bring strong project management skills (time, scope, budget)
+ Ability to take a project and run it autonomously from a drafted survey to delivering a drafted report
+ Bring strong analytic, communication, storytelling, and visual design skills to bear in creating reports and presenting results to clients and stakeholders
+ Be client-centric, from understanding client’s business/marketing/brand needs, communicating complex analyses in an easy-to-digest way, and translating data into actionable insights and clear recommendations
+ Execute all aspects of the research process with excellence, managing to schedule and budget, writing proposals, designing studies, hypothesizing and analytic planning, synthesizing data and analytics, creating insights and narratives that drive actionable recommendations, and presenting results to client teams
+ Proactively support client research needs and goals, contribute innovative ideas and relevant solutions that exceed client expectations upon delivery
+ Have broad market research experience and understanding of different methodologies and approaches and how those relate to specific client business needs
+ Consistently exceed customer expectations and strengthen relationships to support team revenue growth

Skills and qualifications:
+ 5-6 years relevant custom research experience, client or supplier side
+ Bachelor’s Degree required
+ Experience managing tracking and custom studies
+ Experience with both B2C and B2B research
+ Experience/knowledge of research operations (vendor management, data processing, etc.)
+ Strong visual/aesthetic sensibility to bring to highly designed client deliverables
+ Strong project management experience required
+ Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and related computer software packages
+ Strong attention to detail and enjoys process and procedures
