Email Retention Developer

The Email Retention Developer is responsible for the coding of emails and scheduling campaigns, taking creative imagery and turning them into promotional emails, automated trigger emails and SMS messages. The role will work cross-functionally with creative, email and website team to implement the strategy from the email marketing strategy team.

    • Develop email templates for batch & blast and automation programs across advertiser segments with a focus on email deliverability and effectiveness to drive clicks and conversion.
    • Partner with Marketing Content, Design, Sr. Email Manager and Analytics teams to continually refine advertiser experience and drive deliverability and timeliness KPIs.
    • Execute complex and time-critical projects using an organized and methodical approach.
    • Help to develop requirements and work with respective teams on scoping and prioritization.
    • Propose and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize deliverability and engagement across email clients / inboxes
    • Work with IT to identify and maintain evolving requirements of email deliverability and user experience
    • Develop and maintain a modular, dynamic and segmented email program · Learn + understand the business to act as a final checkpoint in coding emails
    • Utilize AI where applicable to create efficiencies in email creation

What you'll bring:

    • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.
    • 1+ years experience in email development
    • Experience building out email templates and initiatives that support marketing and sales organizations for long term growth.
    • Expert in languages: HTML5/CSS3 and other similar languages.
    • Building email templates for a modular, personalized email program
    • Coding for email deliverability across various email clients (i.e. Gmail, Outlook, etc)
    • Effective communicator that can partner across teams, helping to define and govern best-in-class email practices.
    • Self-starter with strong collaboration skills and ability to multitask. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and is comfortable with ambiguity.
    • High comfort with and passion for data driven decision making.
$60,000 - $70,000 a year
