Position Summary
The Merchandising Operations Associate plays an important role in supporting the merchandising team, including the VP of merchandising, throughout the go-to-market journey. This team member helps keep product operations running smoothly and ensures that all merchandising tasks and schedules are completed on time. Their friendly coordination and attention to detail are vital in managing product data, aligning different teams' efforts, and making sure seasonal and promotional deadlines are successfully reached.
Essential Functions
- Product Operations:
- System Integrity: Maintain accurate and up-to-date product data in internal tools, PLM systems, and digital platforms.
- Product Hand-off Process: Partner with product development cross-functional partners, planning, digital, and marketing teams to ensure timely share out of visual linesheets, pricing, flow-dates, and product descriptions.
- Product Development Management: Track and shareout product development status including adoption ratios, overdevelopment, and variances to target and last-year.
- Calendar: Manage and maintain merchandising and product operations calendars, ensuring all key milestones are communicated and met.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on critical path timelines for seasonal assortments, drops, and campaigns.
- Track deliverables and hold stakeholders accountable to deadlines.
- Flag risks or delays early and assist in mitigation strategies.
- General Support: Support total merchandising team with ad-hoc analysis, systems updates, and maintenance of data integrity.
- Support the development and improvement of scalable merchandising processes and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to refine workflows and improve data handoff between systems and teams
- Ad-hoc product trend and performance analysis across in-season business performance and marketplace mapping.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in merchandising operations, product operations, or e-commerce preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience managing calendars and cross-functional deliverables.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with PLM, ERP, or PIM systems (e.g., Centric, SAP, Airtable) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple moving pieces.
- Thorough understanding of merchandise financial planning and key metrics
- Highly analytical, data-driven, able to develop and articulate insights to move business forward
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong listening skills, and excellent verbal and written communicator
- Strong interpersonal skills, and have demonstrated ability to communicate throughout an organization
- Effective working independently as well as in a team environment
- Able to travel, both domestically and internationally
$55,000 - $70,000 a year
Location: Portland, OR (hybrid)
Some travel required.
