Position Summary:
To assist in achievement of the company’s strategic objective and annual goals through the delivery of exceptional financial functions of the company’s resources. To perform services reflective of Hiller’s core values.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist CFO in developing the company’s financial strategic plan.
• Accountable for team performance and progress toward company goals.
• Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
• Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
• Work with departments managers and corporate staff to develop strategic and operational business plans for the company.
• Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
• Direct debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies.
• Direct company financial planning and budget management functions.
• Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.
• Train, coach and mentor finance and accounting team members.
• Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Monitor banking activities of the organization.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
• Oversee daily operations of the finance department.
• Manage the preparation of the company’s quarterly financial forecast.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related discipline and a minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a financial leadership role preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statement and projects.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skills required.
• Excellent verbal, written and public speaking communication skills including the ability to interact professionally within all levels of the organization.
• Possesses a collaborative and customer-service focused work style.
• Must possess a willingness to effectively lead a team in a way that produces positive outcomes.
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly spends long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers (50% of the time).
• Mobility required to attend weekly meetings throughout the organization.
• Regularly communicates verbal and written messages with others.
• Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds.
• Have good visual acuity.
