Position Summary:
To assist in the achievement of the company’s strategic objective and annual goals through the delivery of exceptional plumbing, HVAC, and electrical service to the customer reflective of Hiller’s vision, mission, purpose, and values.
Position Responsibilities:
    Work with department manager to develop a teamwork schedule that achieves departments goals for number of calls that day.
    Daily ticket reviews to verify all items have been ordered.  Print and distribute daily packets the Install teams.
    Communicate with the sales team daily to update them on which team members will be completing which job and meet them on jobs where they need assistance with pricing.
    Weekly truck inspections to check for cleanliness and spot-check inventory. 
    Meet with inspectors when necessary and work to correct failed inspections.
    Available to communicate with install teams via phone or facetime to answer questions and troubleshoot while they are on the job including after hours and on weekends.
    Conduct random inspections of Install teams to check progress and ensure they are using best practices.
    Assist in interviewing and selecting team leads, technicians and apprentices.
    Train, coach, and mentor team leads, technicians and apprentices.
    Investigate any reported safety issues.
    Be the first point of contact for customer questions/concerns.
    Fill in for Operations Manager when they are unavailable.
    Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements:
    EPA Certified
    Nate Certification preferred
    HVAC certification
    A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
    Valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier.
    Have a minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory/team lead experience in residential service and installation operation.
    Have a minimum of 5 years of verifiable. work experience in the HVAC industry.
    Knowledge of the fundamental operational functionality of residential air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment.
    Able to troubleshoot problems with refrigerant, electrical, and duct systems on HVAC equipment.
    Possess good analytical Skills and attention to detail.
    Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through.
    Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
    Must be able to use a computer, tablet and smartphone.
 
Physical Requirements:
    Works in indoor/outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) at least 70% of the time
    Climbs ladders and steep stairs.  Majority of time spent standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching.  Often works in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawlspaces.
    Must be able to lift 50 pounds with ability to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices).
    Occasionally works from heights 15 feet or higher above ground.
    Carries 24 ft extension ladder alone and/or 40 ft extension ladder with a fellow-coworker on most jobs.
    Have good visual acuity.
 
Position Specific Standards
    Willing to continue training for personal growth as well as participating in the training of new employees.
    Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule, if needed.
    Available for support to the team by phone (as needed 24/7).
    Maintain confidentiality of employee performance issues and concerns.
