Who You Are:
We are looking for a senior product / UX designer who can partner with our product, engineering, and other teams to help build delightful experiences for our members and hosts by building new features, optimizing our core membership offerings, and bringing the same experience to our apps.
Responsibilities
- Partner and collaborate closely with engineering, product, marketing, and business (among other stakeholders) to find user-centered, practical solutions to design challenges and build engaging digital experiences for the web and mobile.
- Bring strategic product thinking based on user needs and business goals into your design work.
- Work with product in crafting and conducting user testing, then synthesizing results to drive design decisions.
- Navigate ambiguity (and be comfortable doing so) while our design and product strategy solidifies.
- Document your designs and consult with engineers to ensure they are built and function as intended.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of Product / UX Design experience. Solid design chops; detail-oriented and a systems thinker.
- A strong balance of both visual and user experience design skills.
- Experience with design software such as Sketch and Figma.
- Experience designing features for iOS, Android, and the Web.
- Fluent in designing for responsive web and mobile with an eye for patterns, typography, colors, and interaction design best practices.
- Familiar with technical constraints and best practices for modern responsive web/mobile applications.
- Excellent personal, organizational, communication, and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
Bonus Points
- Passion for camping and the outdoors.
- Experience in the travel and tourism industry.
- Experience working on booking, mapping, and reservation applications.
- Experience building, maintaining, and loving a component-based design system.
- Experience optimizing signup flows and designing options for A/B tests.
