Harvest Hosts is a membership program that connects 200,000+ RVers to local businesses and attractions – our “Hosts” – for overnight stays and unique experiences. Our model is a cost-free opportunity for hosts to share their offerings with our members by simply opening up space for an overnight stay.

What we do: Harvest Hosts is a membership program for RVers offering unique overnight stays at 2,800+ farms, wineries, breweries, distilleries, golf courses, museums and other scenic small businesses all over North America. The company’s mission is to help people live happier lives by getting off the couch and onto the open road, while also supporting small businesses that are the backbone of America.
 
The position: As the company grows, we are looking for a product manager to join our team. Duties include owning the entire member acquisition and retention product funnel from visitor > lead > member > upgrade > churn prevention > reactivation. Our growth goals are aggressive in 2022 and this position will be the tip of the spear in tackling new member acquisition flows, optimizing in product upgrade features, and preventing membership churn. Ideal candidates should have experience with growing a member base exponentially and analyzing data to stop the biggest opportunities. This position will be part of the product team and report to the VP of Marketing (who is the head of product). They will build strong cross-functional relationships with other teams and provide timely reporting to the exec team. This is a full-time position and is completely remote.

Experience: Candidates should have experience with project management (3+ yrs preferred) and product development in both websites and mobile apps. Must have strong growth mentality and be very familiar with digital marketing strategies and web based product flows. Must have familiarity with the Google email/doc suite, Google Analytics, surveys, and A/B testing frameworks. Knowledge of the RV industry or travel industry and any experience doing B2B outreach for Host recruiting would be a plus, but is not required. 


Requirements

    • 3+ years of product management and product growth experience
    • Demonstrated ability to understand user needs, find simple solutions, and work with designers and engineers to build them. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.
    • Analytical Mindset - Able to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. 
    • Ability to make things happen. You can manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized way to overcome roadblocks.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
    • Goes with saying, but experience in sprint planning and tools like JIRA, Asana, Notion, etc.
    • Experience with A/B testing tools like Google Optimize.
    • Bonus points for: Passion for camping and the outdoor; Experience in the travel and tourism industry; Experience working on booking, mapping, and reservation applications. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following general areas:

    • Define, understand, and improve key acquisition and retention metrics, growth funnels, and viral flywheels. Run end-to-end experiments, including defining requirements, driving cross-functional execution, and sharing insights and results.
    • Perform quantitative and qualitative research to identify growth opportunities and prioritize your roadmap. Size growth opportunities pre-launch and rigorously measure results after launch.
    • Maintain knowledge of competitive landscape and trends in the industry and use it with internal data to help run tests and guide build outs.
    • Initially own, and later partner with Analysts, building dashboards that reflect our KPIs.
    • Manage current workflows in various PM platforms and communications tools including bug identification and QA. 
    • Maintaining / grooming stories and tickets for all projects and coordinating with developers to get updates, build requirements, and ensure projects meet deadlines.
    • Talk to our customers as well as cross-functional teams (operations, customer support) to hypothesize, measure impact, and learn from previous releases to iterate on future roadmap plans. Conduct product demos and train internal departments on new product features.
    • Writing documentation and test scripts for new features and bug fixes.
    • Developing efficient customer communication and feedback channels such as surveys and in product feedback widgets.
