At Lastwall, they're revolutionizing the cybersecurity industry and seeking a skilled Senior Full Stack Developer with a passion for cutting-edge technologies. As a Senior level resource, you'll play a vital role in developing and maintaining their next-generation web applications. As part of a small, high impact team, you'll often be working in areas with incomplete specifinations or shifting priorities. They value people who take initiative, operate independently, and bring structure to ambiguity when needed.
While this is a full stack role, it is backend-focused, with an emphasis on building scalable APIs, designing robust data models, and ensuring high performance in a Rust and Postgres environment. Frontend work using Angular and TypeScript may occur, but backend architecture and implementation will be the core focus.

Responsibilities:
- Completing well groomed tickets independently
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and assisting in estimating timelines.
- Ensuring timely delivery of high quality solutions
- Conducting research on relevant product and feature based solutions
- Anticipating potential stack roadblocks and provide well thought out and researched solutions
- Architecting and building backend frameworks, while also contributing to front-end structure as needed
- Developing user-friendly web applications using TypeScript, Rust, Angular, and Postgres.
- Ensure code quality through peer reviews and contribute to peer testing efforts.
- Writing clean and maintainable code
- Writing unit and integration tests with good test coverage
- Utilize your knowledge of cyber security best practices, including familiarity with OWASP Top 10, to implement secure coding practices.
- Embrace an agile methodology, participating in sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
- Enhance the scalability and performance of our applications while maintaining a strong focus on user experience.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to peers, and help shape best practices across the frontend team
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Software Developer.
- Strong proficiency in backend development with:
- Ideally with Rust and frameworks such as sqlx, axum or equivalent experience in systems-level languages with a willingness to quickly ramp up on Rust.
- REST API design and development
- Postgres and relational data modeling
- Experience writing clean, maintainable code and automated tests (unit and integration).
- Demonstrated ability to complete scoped features independently.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and awareness of the OWASP Top 10.
- Experience with peer code reviews and agile development workflows.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage feature delivery end-to-end
Nice to haves:
- Frontend development experience with Angular and TypeScript.
- Experience developing and deploying applications in Docker-based environments.
- Previous work in the cybersecurity industry or on security-sensitive applications.
- Contributing to or maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with performance tuning for web-scale systems.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
