About the Role:
This company is looking to bring on a Technical Project Manager with a strong background in IT infrastructure projects to lead and deliver critical initiatives that support operational resiliency and modernization.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that offers the chance to step into a pivotal role with high visibility across leadership and the technology organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure-focused projects, including Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system streamlining and migration, and system operational resilience and modernization.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to gather and document detailed project requirements to ensure a comprehensive understanding.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, milestones, and resource allocations.
- Use project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint) to track progress, manage risks, and ensure accountability across project teams.
- Deliver clear, consistent updates to the Technology and Product Officer and key stakeholders through weekly status reports, project dashboards, and other transparent communication channels.
- Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively remove roadblocks to maintain project momentum.
- Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of contracted services.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and incorporate process improvements into future initiatives.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management with a focus on IT infrastructure (e.g., networking, cloud, security, or systems administration).
- Experience managing third-party vendors and consultants.
- Familiarity with Agile and hybrid project methodologies.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification preferred.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven track record of managing complex technical projects, particularly in IT infrastructure (e.g., networking, cloud, security, systems administration).
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term technology planning and short-term execution.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Experienced in working collaboratively across distributed teams.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar).
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to escalate and communicate risks effectively to leadership.
