Responsibilities:
- Supports the Geospatial Services & Solutions business area to provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions to the customer. As part of the GSS Team the Software Developer's expertise is needed to support a sophisticated enterprise environment.
- The Software Developer is an active participant in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetings. The software developer will be responsible for developing and deploying custom solutions to the customer's enterprise environment
- Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. This includes the coordination of system development to include design, product/solution analysis, and integration to deliver a solution that meets current needs while maintaining flexibility for future changes.
- Contribute to completion of specific engineering programs and projects
- Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
- Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology
- Coaches, provide guidance and unblocks less-experienced professionals in their tasks
- Determine the functionality of an application and perform upgrades over time
- Works with the team to plan future sprints, define stories and estimate efforts
- Prepares and produces releases of software components
- May serve as a team or task lead
Required Qualifications:
- Clearance: Active TS (SCI eligibility) clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI poly is required upon application for initial consideration **This position is not open for any clearance upgrades or sponsorship.**
- Requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Expert in Python language (or similar)
- Strong experience building and working with container images (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps and software/application development processes
- Experience deploying to the RedHat Openshift Container Platform
- Experience writing infrastructure as code (Helm/Terraform)
- Experience with utilizing CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus
- Experience with deploying to on-prem/data center infrastructure
- Experience using Jira and Confluence daily
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with ElasticSearch, GoLang
- Experience with GraphDBs (Neo4j/RedisGraph)
- Experience with Messaging Systems (NATS Jetstream/Pulsar)
- Intelligence Community Experience preferred
