Haul is building a labor marketplace that provides trucking companies in the US with a pool of vetted, on-demand truck drivers to operate their trucks.
Founded by Uber alumni and venture backed, Haul is looking to rethink the employment model of 3.5 million trucker drivers and support a $800 billion trucking industry in the United States.
Haul maintains office hubs in the Bay Area and Denver, CO.
We’re looking for a head of market operations to lead the charge as we expand our footprint in existing markets and launch new ones. You’ll be leading a team of market operations managers to grow our business with current partners, and you’ll liaise with our sales team to smoothly transition new business and knock it out of the park with retention and upsell opportunities.
We have aggressive growth plans for 2022 and you will be a key contributor to several of our north star metrics for healthy markets. This is an extremely collaborative role; you and your team will work with stakeholders in other departments to make sure we’re filling assignments and putting drivers to work, and you’ll raise your hand to highlight what levers you’d like other teams to pull to influence supply or demand for a specific market or fleet.
-Set up reporting on markets / regions to show market health and improvement opportunities
-Drive initiatives to boost market health - you will run data-driven tests in different markets to establish proven strategies for solving different types of market challenges, and you will create a set of SOPs for teams to pull on in future challenges
-Lead the market operations team in solidifying our approach to adding new business with fleets in our portfolio
-Be a champion for the fleet experience: establish a strong feedback loop with fleet managers on how we can best fill open assignments and increase their portal usageLaunch new markets: you will build a market launch playbook (including incentives and subsidizations for generating initial supply and demand) and set guidelines for when a market should start hitting maturity and return on investment
Who you are
-Experience in startups (3-5 years) and proven track record in leading growth in double sided marketplace
-Experience building and managing teamsStrong data chops
-Strong communication and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
