Haul is building a labor marketplace that provides trucking companies in the US with a pool of vetted, on-demand truck drivers to operate their trucks.

Haul maintains office hubs in the Bay Area and Denver, CO.

The role:
As the Billing Specialist, you will own the weekly billing process of our Haul drivers to our fleet partners. You will review timesheets, audit invoices/statements/reports from our fleet partners, and work with our fleet partners to resolve discrepancies; ensuring accurate, complete, and timely billing.

You will work closely with the Accounting and Payroll team and partner with members of various departments on adhoc, value-added projects. This role requires a detail-oriented, customer focused individual with strong organizational, communication and follow-through skills. This role also requires an individual who possesses a high degree of flexibility and professionalism, and strong customer service.

Your responsibilities will evolve over time and initially are:
-Review and send proprietary timesheets weekly to fleet partners
-Audit time reports from fleet partners for entire active W2 driver roster to find any variances between payroll reported totals and those on the facility level
-Secure required supplemental documentation for variances
-Accept/Approve weekly invoices and reach out to fleet partners as needed for monthly reporting data
-Maintain revenue recognition spreadsheet used by operations to derive monthly/quarterly commission data
-Facilitate the data import process of invoice/remittance data to help drive reconciliation process 
-Attend Onboarding meetings with all new fleet partners

Qualifications:
-2-4 Years of experience with Billing, preferably in the staffing industry
-Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills
-High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation
-Candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills and Experience:
-Experience within the staffing industry
-Fluency with GSuite
-History in a start-up/high-growth environment a plus
-Provide outstanding client service, meet high quality standards for services and meet or exceed client expectations
-Works well both independently and within a fully remote team

Haul supports a "hybrid" office model where team members work in the company's offices for at least three days per week and elsewhere for the rest of the week.
