HCVT operates under a hybrid working model. Effective Jan 1, 2024, employees are expected to work at their assigned office a minimum of two days per week. In the event that this is not geographically reasonable, you may work in the office closest to your home.  Additionally, we expect employees to participate in required firm events/meeting (e.g., trainings, team bonding, client meetings, etc.).

As a service desk intern, you will be responsible for the following:

    • Assist IT Service Desk team with IT ticket queue, such as troubleshooting computer hardware/software issues or complete requested controlled processes
    • Assist IT Asset Coordination team with replacing hardware (laptops, monitors, docking stations, keyboards and mice)
    • Install, test, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot computers and other peripherals
    • Prepare decommissioned equipment for physical disposal
    • Conduct research on specific software or hardware
    • Help maintain documentation on software and computer systems
    • Participate in various IT related projects as needed

To be successful, these are the skills, qualities and experience you will need:

    • Available to work 40 hours a week from Mid-June through Mid-August with the potential to be offered a full-time position contingent upon a positive performance review
    • Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment (in office and/or from home as needed), to be organized with the Service Desk Manager
    • Ongoing education in an IT related field is acceptable with the potential to continue the internship part-time while attending classes
    • Excellent decision-making skills
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Experience in technical support preferred, but not required
The anticipated hourly range for this role is $25.00 plus any overtime. This salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set and education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
