As part of the HCVT Fort Worth team, you will work in a fast-paced environment, with a tax practice that is focused on serving clientele in the Alternative Investment Management industry. HCVT operates under a hybrid working model. Effective Jan 1, 2024, employees are expected to work at their assigned office a minimum of two days per week. In the event that this is not geographically reasonable, you may work in the office closest to your home.  Additionally, we expect employees to participate in required firm events/meeting (e.g., trainings, team bonding, client meetings, etc.)                                                                             

Key Responsibilities:

    • This position supports the day-to-day accounting and tax compliance of client fund partnership vehicles. Client businesses are generally focused on private equity, infrastructure, private debt, and real estate investments.
    • This position will focus on aspects of client engagements dealing primarily with U.S. income tax withholding (ECI, FDAP, ETC.) and FATCA/CRS reporting. 
    • Other responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Assisting with IRS W form preparation and review, and working with client personnel to respond to investor tax inquiries or ad-hoc requests.
    • Prospective candidates will be expected to: Coordinate with external tax advisors in the tax compliance process, oversee planning and scheduling of engagements and supervise workflow, communicate effectively with engagement partners, and ensure quality of work product.

The experience, skills, and credentials we are seeking:

    • Bachelor’s degree, J.D., LL.M in taxation, and/or master’s in taxation from an accredited college/university
    • CPA or licensed attorney strongly preferred
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; partnership tax and/or private equity experience strongly preferred
    • Ability to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issues
    • Excellent in multi-tasking and managing priorities against key deadlines; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal; ability to communicate directly with client personnel, internal teams and external advisors and work effectively in a dynamic work environment
This salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set and education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000.
