HCVT operates under a hybrid working model. Effective Jan 1, 2024, employees are expected to work at their assigned office a minimum of two days per week. In the event that this is not geographically reasonable, you may work in the office closest to your home.  Additionally, we expect employees to participate in required firm events/meeting (e.g., trainings, team bonding, client meetings, etc.)  

As an Experienced Staff in our Private Equity tax group, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

    • Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for private equity entities and/or private equity family office
    • Prepares correspondence to taxing authorities
    • Works with other members of the team on private equity compliance matters
    • Identifies accounting and income tax issues and proposes strategies to resolve them
    • Communicates status of work and issues with seniors, managers or partners on a timely basis
    • Develops strong relationships with firm and client personnel
    • Work on ad hoc projects assigned by your supervisors

To be successful, these are the skills and experience you will need:

    • Undergraduate or Master's degree in accounting
    • Should be sitting for or already passed the CPA examination
    • At least one year of tax preparation experience
    • Strong technical aptitude and evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to learn in a fast paced environment  and receptive to feedback and coaching
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projects
    • Can work independently and manage multiple assignments in a remote environment
    • Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
    • High attention to detail
    • A positive attitude and a team player mentality with a can-do spirit
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs; GoSystems experience is a plus

This salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set and education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the range for this position is $72,000 to $82,000.
