As we continue to expand and diversify our service offerings, we are seeking a Director of Accounting to lead and grow our accounting department
 
The Director of Accounting will oversees all financial activities within an organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing. They manage a team of within the accounting department, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulations. Additionally, they provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and contribute to decision-making processes by analyzing financial data and trends.

Roles and Responsibilities  
·      Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including analytical review of financial results to ensure timely and accurate accounting records are maintained
·      Oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations to ensure the proper and timely processing of billing and payments
·      Manage and support additional accounting staff.
·      Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements, bank and general ledger reconsiliations
·      Prepare monthly journal entries for payroll, accruals, prepaid expenses, and accounts receivable
·      Maintain a thorough understanding of industry-specific accounting standards and their implications for the company’s financial reporting.
·      Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely insights into the company’s financial performance.
·      Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations
·      Processing reconciliation, and oversight of invoices
·      Partner cross-functionally to develop and maintain budget and expense controls
·      Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
·      Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvements.
·      Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
·      Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and the organization’s continued growth.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience
·       Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field                    
·       5+ years of experience in accounting or related field
·       Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
·       Experience with Oracle NetSuite
·       Experience with accounting software and financial management systems
·       Intermediate MS Excel skills
·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·       Ability to work effectively in a team environment
·       Strong attention to detail and accuracy
·       Knowledge of both business and payroll tax policies and procedures
·       Self-directed professional with self-confidence and desire to share your ideas and knowledge.
·       Comfortable providing “hands-on” accounting and partnering with leadership on high-level strategy, strategic planning, and growth plans
·       CPA Preferred but not required
$100,000 - $115,000 a year
