Hearsay Systems is looking for a creative, get-it-done Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Budapest

In case you are happy to automate testing while also excelling in defining test scenarios and running them yourself, we are looking for you to fill a significant role in increasing the overall quality of our flagship products and greenfield initiatives. You will take a key part in the development process from clarifying requirements with the Product team until you run the automated tests and publish the results.

About the role:

    • Improve test framework and implement functionalities needed for future automated tests
    • Collaborate with various engineering teams and product management to test a diverse range of products
    • Work together with other test engineers to improve testing processes
    • Write and execute test plans per product requirements and communicate with internal stakeholders
    • Be directly responsible for testing product feature sets
    • Automate already existing and future test cases
    • Be part of the product life cycle to gather and understand requirements for upcoming and existing feature sets to formulate test cases

About you:

    • At least 5 years of proven software test automation experience on multiple levels of the test hierarchy (e.g. unit, integration, end-to-end)
    • Minimum 3 years of experience with at least one programming language, preferably Javascript or Python
    • Capable of creating a domain-driven test automation framework that applies to different projects
    • Experience working across the technical stack and understanding of modern web apps
    • Solid understanding of Agile, Continuous integration, Jira
    • Experience in an E2E testing framework (e.g. Playwright, WebdriverIO, Selenium, Cypress)
    • Constructive criticism, analytical mindset, and high attention to details
    • Experience in working with APIs

Nice to have:

    • Salesforce experience
    • Kotlin, or Java programming knowledge
    • Experience in Performance testing
    • Experience with test management software (e.g. TestRail)
    • ISTQB CTFL certificate
