You'll support core financial operations – including budgeting, forecasting, provider compensation, accounts payable/receivable, and performance reporting – while also diving deep into the complexities of healthcare finance.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization
    • Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning
    • Calculate provider payments based on compensation models (e.g., CMS allowables, wRVUs, etc.)
    • Process, analyze, and visualize large volumes of financial and operational data
    • Support monthly close processes and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting in partnership with our Accounting team
    • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including reconciliations
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to support departmental budgeting and cost analysis
    • Develop dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses to track KPIs and support leadership decisions
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and reduce costs
    • Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
    • 2–6 years of relevant experience in a financial analyst or similar role, preferably in healthcare or healthtech
    • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, VBA or scripting a plus)
    • Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles
    • Strong grasp of healthcare finance concepts, including CMS allowables, wRVUs, payer reimbursement, and provider compensation models
    • Comfort working with large datasets and drawing insights from them
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to operate with autonomy and flexibility in a fast-paced, startup environment
    • Good sense of humor

Nice to Have:

    • Experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage)
    • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other tools for data analysis
    • Prior experience in health systems, provider groups, or healthcare startups
    • Exposure to revenue cycle, claims data, or healthcare operations
