Position: Part-Time Family Assistant
Location: Alamo, CA
Family: Family of three (two parents, one child)
About Us: We are a warm and welcoming family of three based in Alamo, CA, seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Family Assistant to help manage our household. This is a part-time position with guaranteed hours and flexibility to accommodate your schedule.
Schedule:
- Guaranteed Hours: 20 hours per week.
- Preferred Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, or
- Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
- We are flexible and willing to discuss an alternative schedule that works for you.
Responsibilities
- Household Management (90% of duties):
- General tidiness and upkeep of the home.
- Family laundry, including washing, folding, and organizing.
- Weekly changing and washing of linens and bedsheets.
- Grocery shopping and maintaining household inventory.
- Meal planning and meal preparation to support the family’s needs.
- Keeping common areas organized and presentable.
- Childcare (10% of duties):
- Assisting with our son on an as-needed basis for one-off situations.
- Safely transporting our son when required (a family vehicle will be available for these duties).
- When the Family is Out of Town:
- Housesitting and adjusting duties as needed.
- Dog sitting and pet care.
- Ensuring the home is secure and well-maintained during our absence.
$30 - $35 an hour
Compensation & Benefits:
- Employment Type: W-2
- Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
- Sick Time: Five days per year.
- PTO: Accrued five days per year.
- Cell Phone Stipend: $150 per month.
- Mileage Reimbursement: Provided for work-related duties when using your personal vehicle.
- Family Vehicle: Available for transporting our son on work-related errands.
- Holidays: Major holidays off.
Ideal Candidate:
- Is organized, proactive, and dependable.
- Has experience managing household tasks and meal preparation.
- Enjoys working in a family setting and is comfortable with occasional childcare.
- Can communicate effectively and adapt to our family’s needs.
- Is comfortable with housesitting, pet care, and adjusting duties when the family is traveling.
- Has a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
