Family Overview:
A dynamic and active family in the Culver City area of Los Angeles is seeking a Part-Time House Manager & Family Assistant to support the smooth operation of their household. The family has three daughters (ages 7, 11, and 14) who are engaged in school and extracurricular activities, creating a need for a dependable, organized, and proactive professional. The role includes preparing nutritious, high-protein meals using whole foods, managing household errands such as grocery shopping and other day-to-day tasks, and providing safe, reliable transportation to and from school and activities.
This position offers a structured weekday schedule with a break from employment during July and August while the family travels, resuming in September. The family values structure, consistency, and a positive attitude. While a part-time nanny currently supports their youngest child, this role provides the opportunity to oversee household operations fully and take on evolving responsibilities over time. Key Responsibilities:
Household Management & Support
- Oversee daily household operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked home
- Run errands including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, post office runs, and other household needs
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, focusing on nutritious, high-protein meals and whole foods (weekly meal prep acceptable)
- Manage household schedules, deliveries, and maintenance appointments
- Support with light administrative tasks such as bill payment, appointment scheduling, and correspondence
- Implement systems that promote organization and efficiency
Children’s Activities & Transportation
- Pick up and drop off children from school, extracurricular activities, athletics, and social commitments
- Maintain structured routines and ensure timely arrivals
- Support the children’s social, academic, and recreational development in alignment with family expectations
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage family calendars and coordinate logistics for travel or vacations
- Support nanny or other household staff if applicable, providing guidance and oversight
- Implement household systems to streamline organization and efficiency
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in household management, family assistance, or a related role
- Knowledge of or certification in nutrition preferred, or demonstrated experience preparing balanced, high-protein meals using whole foods
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to work independently and proactively
- Dependable, energetic, and professional demeanor
- Loving, yet able to establish respectful, trusting relationships with children while setting appropriate boundaries when needed
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Up-to-date on vaccinations
- Able to provide 3 strong professional references
