Hello Neighbor is seeking a Stabilization Case Manager to provide case management services within the Health & Stabilization Department’s critical intervention programming. Programming serves vulnerable ORR-eligible immigrants and refugees, offering a range of services from light case management for 90 days to intensive case management for up to one year, depending on case assessments.
The Stabilization Case Manager will oversee all aspects of case management, create and implement service plans, and ensure equitable and needs-based distribution of resources and services. This role also includes coordinating volunteers, case aides, and community supports to deliver timely, effective, and trauma-informed services that promote self-sufficiency and stability for clients. The Stabilization Case Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining high-quality service provision and must be adept at managing crises, working independently, and solving problems efficiently while fostering a collaborative environment. This position requires prior refugee resettlement or immigrant case management experience in the U.S. and the ability to work with diverse populations using a trauma-informed lens.
Founded in 2017, Hello Neighbor works to improve the lives of recently resettled refugee families by matching them with dedicated neighbors to guide and support them in their new home. We’ve expanded from our mentorship program to now include refugee resettlement services, family service programs, a national program supporting other refugee and immigrant nonprofits around the country.
This is an in-house, limited term, full-time, non-exempt position at our Pittsburgh, PA office in Larimer through September 30, 2025 with the possibility of extension pending funding availability. We are currently on a hybrid work schedule of 9am-5pm Monday through Friday; in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and work-from-home on Mondays and Fridays. We require COVID-19 vaccination for full-time employees. The successful candidate must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Reports To: Stabilization Programs Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Leads case management for all Stabilization program cases, including initial client assessments, eligibility verification, and the development and implementation of individualized service plans.
- Ensures timely and thorough documentation of all client interactions and services in adherence to confidentiality and compliance guidelines.
- Coordinates volunteers, case aides, and community resources to support client service delivery effectively.
- Distributes direct client assistance, case management services, and resources equitably and in a needs-based manner.
- Maintains a trauma-informed approach in all interactions and service delivery, advocating for culturally and linguistically appropriate care.
- Manages crisis situations promptly and effectively, providing support and guidance to clients and staff as needed.
- Communicates regularly with team members and external partners to ensure holistic and coordinated client support.
- Educates clients on self-sufficiency strategies, including navigating transportation, healthcare systems, and community services.
- Participates in regular supervision meetings and relevant staff meetings.
- Adheres to Hello Neighbor’s confidentiality guidelines and ensures the appropriate handling of sensitive information.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of position expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in one or more target languages strongly preferred (e.g., Arabic, Swahili, French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Dari, Pashto, Rohingya, or other refugee-community language) is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in refugee resettlement or immigrant case management within the U.S.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with compassionate and professional interactions with clients, staff, and partners.
- Skilled at managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, including crisis management and independent problem-solving.
- Cultural competency, including knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors relevant to the diverse populations served.
- Car, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance are required.
- Familiarity with U.S. healthcare, housing, and public assistance systems is a plus.
- Experience working with interpreters and advocating for trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care.
- Digital literacy and the ability to learn new software systems.
- Alignment with and support of Hello Neighbor’s core values.
- Lived migration experience or fluency in a priority language is a plus.

Additional Details
- This is a full-time, non-exempt, limited term contract ending 9/30/2025 in-house position at our Pittsburgh office in the Larimer neighborhood with a possibility of extension, pending funding determinations
- Clearances required: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal History Clearance (PA Act 23 & Act 24); Mandatory Reporter and/or PSEA training may also be required depending on job requirements
- We require COVID-19 vaccination for full-time employees
- Valid driver’s license required, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance are required; MVR records will be required

- $22-24 hourly, nonexempt
