Hello Neighbor is seeking a National Data & Learning Coordinator to support the Hello Neighbor Network team supporting grassroots nonprofits across the country working with refugees and immigrants. They will design and implement a comprehensive MEL strategy for the Network programs. This team member will also help build and implement a comprehensive strategy for data utilization in the Resilience Grants program supporting members across the country to collect meaningful quantitative and qualitative data and analyze and share data in a national framework.

This is an in-house position at our Pittsburgh, PA office in Larimer. We are currently on a hybrid return-to-work and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We require COVID-19 vaccination and a booster for full-time employees.

Reports To: Director of National Programs

Key Responsibilities

    • (1) Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
    • Lead program monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) including developing a MEL plan and strategy for the Network department and programs that allows for comprehensive, equity-focused, national analyses of Network and Network member impact in local communities (incl. surveys, interviews, focus groups etc.)
    • Lead data collection, analysis, and communication for Fellowship program, annual Convening, and other key programs
    • Build and implement a comprehensive strategy for data utilization in the Resilience Grants program supporting members across the country to collect meaningful quantitative and qualitative data
    • Maintain database system, data collection efforts and quality control. Support migration of Network program data to Salesforce and advise and support the system design
    • Lead regular data reporting on outputs and outcome areas
    • Establish, oversee, and coordinate national evaluation initiatives and partnerships and help close out existing research projects
    • Integrate community-based evaluation practices and disaggregated data analysis to ensure and promote equity within all Network programs
    • Support Network members in a limited capacity with their evaluation
    • Support other Hello Neighbor departments and programs in a limited advisory capacity as the resident community-based evaluation and learning expert
    • Keep up-to-date on evaluation, research, and key learnings in the field and identify ways the Network can utilize data and storytelling to highlight grassroots impact

    • (2) Communicating Data
    • Regularly present data to the team and key stakeholders across communities for continuous improvement of programs and evidence-based practice (incl. Network staff team, Hello Neighbor team, National Advisory Council, Network members, and more)
    • Analyze and share resilience grants data in a national framework
    • Bring forward key insights from national data for Network-authored articles, social media, newsletter, and other external communications

    • (3) Operations & Administration
    • Submit finance requests to Director of National Programs
    • Provide and oversee provision of timely, detailed case notes for programs
    • Communicate and support members to complete surveys and evaluations
    • Assist Director of National Programs with resilience grant program administration, fundraising, and reporting requirements

Preferred Qualifications

    • Educational background aligned with the requirements of the position which could include a Bachelor’s Degree and/or graduate degree (potential fields of study including: Public Policy, International Development, Social Work, Decision Science, Business Administration and more)
    • Ideally at least 2 years experience with community-based research and learning
    • Experience with visualization, writing and reporting on data including communicating data to people with different levels of data literacy
    • Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills
