We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead an Engineering team at wisp. In this role, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining a high-performing group of engineers that delivers high-quality digital products to both internal and external users. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teammates to drive product innovation, engineering excellence, and growth for the company.
What You’ll Do
- Approach your team’s work with an owner’s mindset. Strive not only to deliver software but deliver impact to our customers that contribute to wisp’s mission. Ensure your team deeply understands the outcomes their work aims to achieve and build their ownership of that impact.
- Manage the day-to-day output of your team, providing clarity, proactively removing roadblocks, and providing visibility into the impact your team is delivering. Communicate frequently with leadership on the status of your initiatives and where the business can support their success.
- Own the success of individuals on your team by developing goal-based career paths, offering deep mentorship, and inclusively advocating for your engineers. Build necessary processes, including stand-ups and 1:1s to stay tapped into your team’s needs and development opportunities.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence across the Engineering team. Drive important engineering initiatives forward that enables the team to improve their work.
This Role Could Be A Good Fit For You If…
- You have 3+ years of experience in managing software engineering teams and 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
- You have a demonstrated success in leading high-performing Engineering teams, delivering complex digital products, and achieving business objectives.
- You have experience working in a cloud-based environment (AWS).You have excellent leadership, mentorship, and people management skills.
- You have strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- You have experience working in Healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
