So what will you be doing all day? You would join us as a Site Observation Specialist working on things like...

    • Performing job site observations to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, designs, codes, standards, regulations and perform hydrant flow tests.
    • Documenting site and field conditions and participates in discussions to determine appropriate resolution to nonconformance.
    • Providing site observation technical information and assistance to engineers or team leaders.
    • Making recommendations as to the feasibility of certain systems or equipment and their application.
    • Attending preliminary job meetings and helps evaluate scope of work to be performed.
    • Preparing or directing preparation of system layout, detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications based upon site observation.
    • Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction specifications.
    • Working directly with Project Managers and Designers to determine accurate and thorough review of submitted drawings for approval/Submittal
    • Preparing clear and accurate responses and reports to contractors who are submitting documents for review. 
    • Providing technical guidance or training to other Site Observation Specialists when appropriate.
    • Traveling to various project site is expected and required at least 90% - you may expected to reach your destination by air and/or driving long distances.

We'd love for you to apply for this position if you...

    • Possess a High school diploma or GED required Associates degree in a technical discipline preferred
    • Have Discipline specific certifications preferred
    • Have a minimum of 3+ years experience in the design, installation and construction administration of systems
    • Possess relevant site observation or inspection experience preferred
    • Understand the installation and construction administration of Fire Protection, HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical or Electrical Systems
    • Are extremely comfortable using technology to track projects, work, etc. by utilizing iPads, laptop, etc.
    • Have advanced knowledge of the industry, codes, guides and standards
    • Are able to work with a high degree of independence without the need for oversight or mentoring
    • Have a thorough knowledge of the computer database (i.e. EVOCO, Plan Grid etc...)
    • Can read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications
    • Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate in a clear and concise manner
    • Possesses effective problem solving skills
    • NICET Certification strongly preferred
    • Adapt to changing work environments, work priorities, and organizational needs
    • Have the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
    • Are a self-starter, proactive, and willing to help others when needed
Anticipated salary range for this position may be $52,000-$80,000
Salary may be higher or lower than the stated range depending on factors unrelated to the applicant’s race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ethnicity, age, or disability. Salary can vary from this range based on geographic cost of labor statistical differentials.
