Overview of Role
Heretic Ventures is seeking a dynamic and driven full-time merchandise product development associate to join our innovative team as a contractor. As a part of our early-stage generative AI consumer business, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and success of our products.

The ideal candidate is someone with a passion for product development, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills. This individual will be responsible for placing sample orders, tracking and managing orders that have been placed with manufacturers, reviewing product designs and CAD files, and liaising with manufacturers to maintain product quality standards. Additionally, they will be involved in collecting and analyzing data from final products to inform future iterations and improvements.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development while contributing to the growth of a dynamic startup.

This is a hybrid role with the preference for at least 2 days per week in-person in our sunny Presidio, SF office.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage back and forth communication with manufacturer to develop sign-off sample for production
    • Handle end-to-end process including CAD development and refinement, including writing detailed instructions and information for CAD designers and manufacturer
    • Handle manufacturer questions on incoming orders related to CAD development, manufacturing, and quality
    • Train manufacturers on best practices, escalation procedures, and brand standards
    • Escalate critical issues to the management team

Qualifications

    • 1 ~ 2 years of experience in product design, product development, or manufacturing within the fashion and design goods industry
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and troubleshoot issues
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Familiarity with CAD software and product development processes is a plus
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving
