The Wholesale Parts Specialist's primary role is to sell automotive parts, at times offering advice about parts selection, to our Wholesale customers for both Ford and Toyota Parts Departments. Responsibilities include customer service, taking inventory of stock, assisting customers and clients make orders via our catalog for parts, delivering price quotes over the phone and computer, and offering status updates on shipments of parts while working closely with our delivery staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

    • Ascertain make, year, and type of part needed. 
    • Verify part using an in-house computer system.
    • Determine price and availability using computerized inventory records.
    • Inspect part for damage or defect before sales.
    • Clarify the use and features of various parts when necessary.
    • Fill technician or customer orders from stock inventory, or submit special orders.
    • Mark and store parts in an orderly fashion and according to procedure.
    • Order basic parts, supplies, and equipment for dealership departments.
    • Stock replacement parts; verify invoice records against parts order and parts.
    • Handle warranty parts replacements: return defective parts to the manufacturer according to procedures, prepare associated documentation, and provide receipts to technicians.
    • Sell or purchase parts to and from other dealerships.
    • Prepare parts counter sales tickets, Keep all materials safe until needed, ensuring appropriate departments are billed for materials.
    • Perform related other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Ability to follow instructions and procedures as set.
    • Experience using computerized inventory control, or the ability to pick up computer systems quickly.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and coordinate activities with other company departments.
    • Strong customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
    • General knowledge of vehicle mechanics, with directly relevant experience in a parts department is desirable.
