As the Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for enabling smooth manufacturing operations through attention to detail, organization, and a strong sense of urgency. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, curious and willing to learn, and a strong team player. The ability to solve problems quickly and provide superior customer service will be essential to this role. This position will be a non-exempt role reporting to a Supervisor in our ATL facility.
Responsibilities:
- Tool Readiness – Support area leads and supervisor in ensuring that tool control policies (chits, ATAF, etc.) are being sustainably supported. Recommend tool organization improvements and help tackle procuringadditional tooling as needed with lead and supervisor support.
- Operational Readiness – Proactively review current and upcoming operations bills of material/component lists and ensure part supplies exist within the facility or shortages are actively managed by a subassy supervisor completing a work order or a supply chain partner placing a purchase order. Push best-estimate dates back into the production team to help with scheduling operations.
- Inventory – Responsible for auditing lineside inventory/pick locations, assisting leads with local cycle counts for floor stock, collaborating with Engineering and Operations Leadership to identify material shortages, and proactively working supply issues in conjunction with area leadership and supply chain
- Shipping – Where needed collaborate with inventory specialists to schedule and track critical work order or material shipments. Assist with meeting internal packaging standards to support swift inventory specialist operations where applicable.
- Equipment – Utilize the forklift when necessary to facilitate inventory relocation and organization, as well as assist with inspection of Hermeus owned vehicles as needed. .
Qualifications:
- 2+ years working in a warehouse, logistics facility, inventory analytics, or related work environment
- Experience navigating MES/ERP systems and resolving shortages of low to moderate complexity
- Strong communicator with ability to maintain focus in a challenging high-paced environment
- Basic understanding of Windows and Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience driving a forklift
- Experience using hand tools
- Hands on experience with detail-oriented work, either personal or professional preferred
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
