Sales Engineer

What you’ll own as Sales Engineer at Hevo:

1. Achieve the Revenue Targets
a. Attain at least 90% of the assigned quota, Quarter 2 onwards in the role
b. Collaborate with the Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support functions to impact the right business levers

2. Pitch Hevo’s value to the potential customers
a. Understand customer requirements and tailor the demonstration to fit the requirements
b. Provide technical consultation to the customers, including demonstrations of the Hevo platform

3. Enable smooth trial and onboarding
a. Ensure the customer’s trial of the platform is successful, and the issues, if any, are resolved quickly
b. Support the Account Executive with proposals, and other legal/documentation processes to enable smooth onboarding of the customers

4. Contribute to self and team’s growth
a. Create and maintain presales content and technical artifacts
b. Work on improving your technical knowledge; complete at least 2 certifications in a year
c. Contribute to the team by sharing knowledge and training new-hires

What you’ll bring to the table:

1. Knowledge of B2B SaaS products in the data/analytics space
2. Preferably advanced, but at least intermediate-level skills in Cloud Platform, Data Stack, ETL, and/or other related technologies 
3. Experience of working with the Sales team(s), and co-owning the revenue target
4. Experience in pre-sales or post-sales operations, including process efficiencies, etc.
5. Well versed with challenges faced in technical sales and how to handle those effectively
6. Experience working with senior, business, and technical customer stakeholders
7. Expertise in creating and providing technical demonstrations to potential customers
8. Communicate Hevo’s value to potential customers
9. Understand customers’ pain points and work with the team to resolve them under applicable constraints
10. Adept at handling challenging situations at work, e.g. rejections from customers 
11. Rigour to manage self-performance

Ideal Candidate Persona:

1. 2-6 years of experience in pre-sales roles with demonstrated business and revenue impact
2. Work Experience
a. Should have experience working for at least 2 years in:
Mid-size B2B Tech Product Companies (SaaS preferred)
Large-size B2B Tech Product companies during the growth stages 
b. Should have experience in a pre-sales role as an IC for 2+ years
3. Engineering degree in Computer Science or related streams
4. Strong technical acumen and interest; experience in ETL would be a plus
