Rowan’s Public Relations Manager reporting to the CMO will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication initiatives to enhance Rowan's brand visibility, reputation, and industry presence. The Public Relations Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders to craft compelling narratives, secure media coverage, and drive engagement across various channels.

What you'll do:

    • Develop and Implement PR Strategies: Create comprehensive PR strategies aligned with Rowan's business objectives, leveraging both traditional and digital channels to maximize reach and impact for both national and local business support
    • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers to secure positive media coverage. Pitch stories, press releases, and thought leadership content to relevant media outlets.
    • Content Creation: Write and edit press releases, articles, blog posts, and other communication materials. Ensure all content is accurate, compelling, and consistent with Rowan's brand voice and messaging.
    • Brand Management: Safeguard Rowan's brand reputation and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels. Monitor media coverage and social media conversations, addressing any issues or concerns as needed.
    • Speaking engagements: Identify, pitch, and manage speaking engagements for key individuals within the Rowan organization to garner awareness and additional media coverage.
    • Internal Communication: Collaborate with internal teams to provide PR support for product launches, company announcements, and other initiatives. Keep internal stakeholders informed about media coverage, industry trends, and PR activities.
    • Measurement and Analysis: Track and analyze PR metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies. Provide regular reports and insights to inform future PR initiatives and optimize performance.

What you bring to the table:

    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of proven experience in PR, media relations, or corporate communications, preferably within the retail or beauty industry.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages.
    • Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities, with a demonstrated track record of securing media coverage and building positive media relationships.
    • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative PR ideas and strategies.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive decision-making.

Compensation:

    • The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $75k-85k.
