The Director of Pelvic Health will be a passionate leader responsible for the development and execution of Highbar Physical Therapy’s pelvic health program. This position will combine clinical expertise with strategic oversight to ensure the pelvic health program’s success across multiple clinics. The Director of Pelvic Health will report to the Clinic Director for their patient care role, while closely collaborating with the Clinical Officer for program development, standards, and growth. This individual will lead by example, performing clinical duties while also mentoring staff, overseeing program growth, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- Clinical Leadership: Lead by example as a pelvic health clinician, delivering excellent patient care and adhering to Highbar's standards for clinical practice. Guide pelvic health therapists to ensure they practice at the top of their license (PATTOTL) and align with Highbar’s Beliefs, Behaviors, and Outcomes (BBO).
- Program Development and Management: Develop, implement, and oversee the pelvic health program, with a focus on alignment with Highbar’s overall goals. This is achieved by monitoring and supporting performance across multiple clinics, including productivity, billing, patient satisfaction, and employee recruitment, engagement, and retention, ensuring the program is continually evolving and improving. Collaborate with the Clinical Officer to ensure the program meets high standards of care and is positioned to support our team and tailfeathers.
- Talent Engagement and Mentorship: Collaborate with Clinic Directors and the Talent Experience (TE) Department to support the pelvic health program’s staffing needs. Meet with candidates interested in the pelvic health field to discuss opportunities. Provide mentorship and ensure that pelvic health therapists receive the tools, support, and training necessary to excel in their roles, including overseeing their students’ experiences.
- Patient Care and Documentation: Conduct patient assessments, including diagnosis and development of individualized treatment plans. Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with state and payer guidelines, using Prompt EHR and adhering to APTA and Medicare guidelines.
- Business Development and Community Engagement: Actively participate in business development activities, cultivating relationships with physician and non-physician referral sources. Drive community awareness of pelvic health physical therapy services through local events, networking, and ongoing outreach efforts. Coach Clinic Directors and pelvic health therapists on effective talking points and strategies when engaging in business development activities for their clinic or region.
- Collaboration with Leadership: Collaborate with Clinic Directors and shared services teams to support the smooth operation of the pelvic health program. Align performance metrics (clinical outcomes, productivity, billing, compliance) to Highbar’s objectives and implement strategies to optimize clinic operations and resource allocation. Foster strong collaboration to drive continuous improvement and support program growth
- Professional Development and Continuing Education: Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in pelvic health physical therapy through continuing education and independent learning. Mentor staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

- Minimum of five (5) years in pelvic health physical therapy, with leadership or management experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and with external stakeholders to achieve goals.
