We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented People Engagement Specialist to join our People Operations team. This role is integral to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment for our team members. The People Engagement Specialist will be entrusted with key responsibilities focused on employee experience, including comprehensive onboarding of new employees, supporting and managing employee engagement initiatives, and providing robust administrative support to the People Operations team.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
·       Manage and streamline the onboarding process for all new hires to ensure an organized and welcoming introduction to Highland
·       Conduct new hire orientation sessions
·       Coordinate setup of new hire accounts and system access
·       Develop, manage, and update onboarding materials
·       Serve as the primary point of contact for any onboarding-related inquiries
·       Maintain and update employee records
·       Assist with design and implementation of employee engagement initiatives
·       Conduct regular employee engagement surveys
·       Assist with employee engagement data analysis and reporting
·       Coordinate the preparation and distribution of new policies and other information for the People team
 
Desired Qualifications
 
·       Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
·       2+ years prior experience in a People Operations or HR role
·       Foundational understanding of HR processes and best practices
·       Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
·       Ability to treat sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
·       Prior experience in HR software systems is preferred (Lever, Lattice, ADP)
