About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, we are looking for a Sr. Manager of Accounting to own Highspot’s accounting operations. This person will be responsible for contributing strategic decisions that impact the broader accounting team and financial operations organization. You will have the opportunity to establish best practices and ascertain compliance of accounting policies. The ideal person will be detail-oriented, has a passion for building processes and automation, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can identify opportunities and execute solutions independently.
What You'll Do
- Strategic owner of month-end and quarter-end accounting close process. Lead the timeline, communication, and coordination of all close related tasks with other stakeholders, including FP&A and CFO.
- Driving strategy, creating best-in-class processes, and mentoring a high-performing team across the financial operations team including procure to pay, equity, and technical accounting
- Responsible for General Ledger reporting, COA maintenance, and best practices in NetSuite.
- Accounting oversight of the integrity, timeliness, and accuracy of financial statements, including GL, subledger, reconciliations, and subsidiary books.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally and be the go-to accounting expert for internal partners, offering clear, proactive insights that drive success across the business.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in complex accounting standards.
- Capable of interpreting US and International business transactions and articulately applying the appropriate accounting guidance.
- Technical accounting lead implementation on applicable new accounting codifications.
- Innovate Through optimization: Lead process improvement initiatives and champion optimization to accelerate and future-proof accounting processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on matters pertaining to Accounting as a key spokesperson.
- Lead the team on financial and statutory audit preparation.
- Build, manage, and cultivate a global team of talented accounting professionals, fostering growth, collaboration, and innovation.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA highly preferred.
- 8+ years of accounting experience, including a strong foundation in public accounting and industry.
- Proven track record in leading and managing complex accounting projects.
- Experienced in creating and updating GL accounting-related policies and best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite, FloQast, and Carta.
- Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization and drive meaningful change while motivating a high-performing team and fostering a culture of integrity.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to prioritize multiple deliverables.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and the ability to summarize financial data.
- Pre-IPO SaaS industry experience preferred.
Base salary range: $118,000 - $204,000. Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.
The above represents the total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
