About the Role
We are seeking a driven Design Leader with deep experience and expertise in all things Design Systems. You have the perfect balance of skills to drive projects forward, make it happen, and be able to harness the creative energy of a creative team towards the end goal. 
You have experience with shepherding designs from initial ideation, through rapid iteration, to pixel-perfect implementation. You should have a passion for usability, an eye for visual consistency, and the ability to synthesize complexity into its essential parts. You are an effective diplomat with strong communication and organization skills who is willing to advocate for the design position in the face of senior balancing points from Product Management, Design and Engineering leadership. “World-class” is the bar and you have the desire to take us there!

Responsibilities

    • Manage, mentor and coach a team of skilled designers to deliver high quality work
    • Experience working across product R&D through the lens of the Design System
    • Identify and prioritize usage scenarios through customer research and competitive analysis
    • Design and build functional prototypes, and path towards Dev ready execution
    • Strong partnership with engineering and product management to drive shared vision and execution of product plans
    • Deliver UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time

Required Qualifications

    • Degree in human-computer interaction, interaction design, visual design, or equivalent work experience
    • 10+ years of experience in designing world-class software
    • 5+ years of experience in managing multiple designers
    • Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles
    • Experience in design and developing Design Systems are scale
    • Fluency and expertise with Figma, and industry standard design tools
    • Depth of understanding in modern UI Frameworks (e.g React)
    • Solid portfolio of work spanning multiple projects
    • Experience with UX for enterprise software products, channels, or marketplaces a plus
    • Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills

Base salary range: $167,826 - $252,174. Employees may also be eligible for bonuses, stock options, and other forms of compensation.

The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
