About the Role
We’re looking for a collaborative, self-motivated, and unabashedly detail-obsessed Localization Manager to join our rapidly-growing Product and Engineering team. This person will partner with teams across the organization, as well as external vendors, to ensure the Highspot product, marketing website, and customer-facing documentation are localized to meet our customers’ needs. The right candidate for this role will thrive in ambiguity, be adept at vendor selection and management, and be a constant champion for our customers across the globe. They will also enjoy partnering with a variety of stakeholders and partner teams to improve the quality and consistency of our translations and the efficiency and effectiveness of our localization processes and tools.

What You'll Do

    • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Design to ensure new and updated strings within the Highspot product are translated into the 27 languages and dialects Highspot currently supports
    • Partner with Technical Writing, Marketing, and Design to ensure the appropriate marketing content, webpages, and customer-facing documentation are translated into their target languages
    • Partner with Engineering to improve our technical approach to internationalization
    • Manage language translation projects end-to-end, consistently delivering them on time and within budget
    • Manage relationships with translation vendors including budgeting, contract negotiation, project planning, coordination, and execution
    • Establish and maintain core terminology for Highspot translations 
    • Partner with Finance to forecast annual localization spend
    • Develop processes to gather and incorporate localization feedback from customers and internal stakeholders
    • Facilitate and evolve processes to determine when to invest in adding new languages and dialects to the Highspot product
    • Identify, establish, and monitor metrics to track the health of our localization process
    • Ensure partner teams throughout the organization understand our translation processes
    • Research and incorporate industry best practices and innovation into our practices

Your Background

    • 5-7 years of experience managing multiple languages for translation
    • Experience selecting and managing localization vendors
    • Experience working in a global, cross-functional, multilingual team
    • Ability to identify, prioritize, and successfully execute on competing priorities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • Strong problem solving, organizational, and collaboration skills
    • Ability to influence cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
    • Entrepreneurial spirit, priding yourself on getting things done with a high level of quality
    • Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly changing environment
    • Familiarity with HTML, JS, JSON, etc. - knowledge of Regular Expressions (Regex) is a plus
    • Understanding of SEO best practices
    • Fluency in a second language is preferred, but not required
