Salary: Hourly Framework (Step 3, A-K) Range: $23.19to $28.27/hour

JOB SUMMARY
 
The Lead Academic Coach assists within the classroom, full or part-time, as well as facilitates small group and individual instruction. The Lead Academic Coach assists with ensuring students with diverse needs have access to our general education curriculum.[3]   Lead Academic Coaches are essential to ensuring that all students get the individualized attention they need for success. A coach may work predominantly with one student in need of one-on-one support or with several students in a classroom or several classrooms. Lead Academic Coach assists students within the classroom setting, as well as facilitates small group and individual instruction.
 
Duties include:
 
●       Provides direct assistance to the teacher in such activities as:
○        Implementing lesson plans, preparing instructional support materials
○        Administering assessments and assisting in grading
○        Working directly with students in small groups
○        Providing individualized instruction and learning assistance
○        Supervising students in and outside of the classroom
●       Provide instructional support and tutoring to students in groups or one-on-one sessions
●       Participate in curriculum and assessment meetings to provide direct input and recommendations on student progress, accommodations, and needs
●       Assist with tutorial activities working with an individual or group of students who may have learning differences
●       Mentor other coaches in all aspects of modifying curriculum and providing access to all students
●       Monitor student progress and provide input for evaluation and parent conference upon request
●       Lead and plan  interventions for struggling students
●       Establish rapport and meaningful relationships with referred students to assist in improving their behavior, educational performance, and social relationships
●       Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
 
●      Associates Degree or 60 units toward Bachelor’s Degree
●     5+ years of experience working in a similar K12 environment
●      ABA or other behavioral support training
