FLSA Classification: Classified, 190-day
Full Time/Part Time Status: Part Time (35/hours week)
Regular/Temporary: Regular
Salary: Framework B- Step 26 - Salary: $33,997 (column A). Salary is commensurate with experience.
Stipend for Additional Work: In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined in this role, there may be opportunities for additional projects or tasks. HTH offers a stipend for these extra assignments.

JOB SUMMARY 
As the Aftercare Coordinator, your main role involves aiding the Aftercare Program Director in delivering high-quality educational interventions to foster academic progress. You will also play a crucial role in implementing and overseeing a diverse range of social, recreational, and community activities, along with academic support within the afterschool program. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and engaging in collaborative efforts and communication with others to address program requirements, activities, and any relevant program-related matters. 

Duties include: 
●  Plan and organize a variety of activities and interventions for students 
●  Assist in the development of lessons and activities, preparation of materials
●  Maintain supervision of program participants and activities
●  Assist in maintaining various kinds of records including, but not limited to: attendance, snacks, etc., as well as evaluation or assessment activities
●  Monitor program activities and direct the work of programs impacting recreation, social, cultural activities, and academic interventions
●  Assist in leading small group instruction
●  Oversee the maintenance of a safe environment for students (facilities, equipment, etc.)
●  Monitor the setup and maintenance of program facilities and activitiesProvide assistance and support to other staff members within the program
●  Coordinate, organize, and implement winter, spring, and summer learning programs
●  Perform related duties as assigned

The ideal candidate would possess the following competencies: 
●  Effective and efficient communication techniques
●  Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
●  Child growth and development principles
●  Behavioral management strategies 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
●  Experience in afterschool programs. Experience in a school/learning environment preferred
●  Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates issued by an authorized agency
