The Role (How You Can Help)

The Marketing team identifies and engages companies and job-seekers to join Hired, driving revenue to sustain our vision of a more transparent and rewarding hiring process. Reporting into the Content Strategy Lead, the Content & Social Media Specialist will be a key contributor by supporting overall content campaign execution with a focus on content marketing through social media, and improving content quality, reach, and production processes.

 You will work closely with various teams and partners to create and handle content campaigns from conceptualization to production, analyze data where available and provide insights on campaigns to improve performance. The ideal candidate for this role might be a writer who wants to expand abilities in social media and content management, or a social media specialist who wants to expand writing and digital media content skills. They should be organized, comfortable multi-tasking, and be proactive, resourceful, and creative.

What we're looking for:

- 1-2+ years of experience in a writing, content marketing, or social media specialist or content management role.
- Hands-on experience working with B2B and/or B2C integrated marketing campaigns across a variety of channels. 
- Understanding of sales and content funnels, journeys, and how to encourage readers to convert to leads. 
- Experience working cross-functionally to partner with creative, product, and sales teams to align goals and meet deadlines. 
- Creative thinker, comfortable coming up with content and/or social media campaign concepts, and participating in general creative brainstorms with the team.
- Eager to experiment and test content variations, and open to feedback.
- Experience with tools such as WordPress, Loomly (or similar), Asana, & Google Analytics, is preferred but can be taught. 
- Bonus points for any experience: in the recruiting industry, using content to break into strategic/enterprise accounts, and/or in a digital marketing agency environment.

Responsibilities:

Content Writing
- Help prepare briefs for content production internally or by freelancers. 
- Help with research into relevant topics, sources, keywords and SEO-friendly titles, and to enhance content. 
- Draft blog articles for the Hired website with an SEO approach. Draft, edit, and/or coordinate blog drafts cross-functionally and with freelancers as needed. 
- Assist in writing content for web pages, landing pages, emails, and other digital media as needed. 

Social Media
- Draft copy for various social channels, customizing for the audience and other best practices, etc. 
- Schedule and publish social posts for content marketing, events, earned media. 
- Solicit and coach colleagues to collect and create assets to share internal events and employee highlights.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, make recommendations to improve performance.
- If possessing graphic design skills, assist with image resizing for various distribution channels, and other minor design tasks. 

Content Project Management
- Assist in maintaining the Editorial Calendar.
- Assist in project management of content including quarterly research reports including competitive analysis, survey distribution, and working in Asana. 
- Quality assurance assistance helping proofread landing pages, web pages, blogs, etc.
- Measure effectiveness of campaign results and analyze activity to understand how our marketing campaigns influence and convert leads, and continually refine processes.
- Collaborate closely with other members of paid acquisition, event marketing, demand gen, product marketing, creative, content strategy, sales and many others included in the process, execution and measurement of marketing campaigns.
