What You'll Be Doing

    • Lead a talented team of engineers on large scale projects from design to completion
    • Manage our external API and integrations team building products that put Mya directly in a recruiter’s workflow
    • Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of your team
    • Help develop your team’s careers and assign them to projects matching their skill levels, personalities, and professional goals
    • Build teams that are collaborative, inclusive, and respectful of each other
    • Provide continuous feedback, address underperformance, and recognize the individual strengths and contributions of your team members
    • Create plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges in your organization
    • Maintain a balance between building sustainable, high-impact projects and shipping things quickly
    • Work closely with the recruiting team to hire high potential candidates from diverse backgrounds
    • Own your team’s deliverables and ensure we continue to ship scalable, highly-available products
    • Help develop and maintain a sustainable, healthy engineering culture and environment which is both encouraging and challenging

    • A technical background with experience contributing to planning and design discussions
    • Experience leading a team of engineers and guiding them through their career development
    • You enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and you’re committed to driving projects to completion creatively
    • You can motivate and instill a strong sense of ownership in your team
    • You have experience guiding teams through planning, prioritization, and execution of work
    • You think ahead and build for the future
    • Demonstrated ability to grow and lead high-functioning and diverse engineering teams
    • Experience working with a highly collaborative environment, managing a team who ships code to production often

We love collaboration. Mya’s HQ is in San Francisco but we have multiple offices and employees around the globe. Mya allows for the flexibility of working from home if you'd like to, but we have a lively office culture, too, so you will always have coworkers in the office who you can grab lunch with or bounce an idea off of.
