Bumble is looking for a senior level Market Researcher to join our team in London. In this role, you will lead initiatives to deepen customer understanding and evangelise customer-centric practices with our marketing teams.  Focussing on the Bumble dating brand, you will be a pivotal partner to our brand and creative teams, helping to provide a regular cadence of cultural and creative insight to fuel the creative development and brand marketing process.  You’ll be working on a global brand that is changing the lives of millions of people around the world already - and you’ll be helping us to grow and make an even more meaningful impact in the years to come. You will also be an integral part of the growth of our expanding research practice, helping us to scale into a world-class team.

You will be a seasoned research professional with a proven track record of delivering rich, actionable insights.  You will also be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Act as a partner and ally to our brand, design, creative and communication teams, to ensure that customer thinking is a core part of the marketing process
    • Deliver inspirational, action orientated and professional standard research
    • Deepen knowledge of  the cultural trends which are impacting our users, to ensure that Bumble has the knowledge and foresight it needs to remain at the forefront of cultural conversation
    • Provide inspiring insight which helps fuel and give inspiration to the development of campaigns 
    • Develop insights which give a deep understanding of how we can optimise and strengthen the impact and relevance of our marketing content and assets
    • Proactively identify new trends and opportunities which the business should act upon
    • Help build and scale the market research function- for example by mentoring junior researchers, educating on best practices, and expanding our methods and operations

EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    • 8+ years of market research and customer insight experience
    • Comfort with running research studies yourself, from end to end
    • Understanding of how to work with modern, agile research techniques
    • Experience of a broad range of market research methods and techniques. For example: cultural trends analysis, semiotics, social listening, concept and creative testing
    • Comfort with generating insight to fuel the creative development and marketing planning process
    • A proven track record of socialising and embedding research findings to drive business outcomes
    • Comfort and understanding of a broad range of qualitative research methods, and running these yourselves. Bonus points if you’re also comfortable with moderating qualitative research yourself
    • Understanding of the nuances of running multi market, Global research studies. Bonus points if this includes experience of working in emerging markets
