Bumble is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, proactive, and managerial US Field Marketing Manager to build Bumble’s brand as the leading relationships and social networking app in the United States.

Our college marketing approach aims at extending our Bumble brand values to students around the United States - appointing selected individuals as Bumble ‘ambassadors’ to be part of the movement while growing personally and professionally in their own endeavors.

The US Field Marketing Manager  will lead always-on marketing on a specific number of key college campuses. This role will effectively recruit, onboard, train, and manage their ambassador in territories assigned to them.

This individual will also help spread this word-of-mouth and visibility through unique, creative guerrilla activations in the United States, leaning on their knowledge of what’s relevant and cool to deliver high-impact, visually stimulating moments around campus. They are creative, adaptable, and unafraid to set outside of the box and pilot new tactics. 

Based in the United States and reporting directly to the Field Marketing Director, this individual will be responsible for building and scaling Bumble’s field marketing activities in the United States through ambassador programs, events, and guerrilla marketing.  This manager will directly manage the US Field Marketing Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities Include:

    • AMBASSADOR RECRUITMENT AND MANAGEMENT 
    • Identify, recruit, and onboard new Bumble ambassadors at universities across the US
    • Train, manage and communicate with all assigned Campus Brand Ambassadors daily
    • Provide feedback on activations; managing & reporting on outputs
    • Drive growth in order to hit or exceed business KPIs across the US

    • REGIONAL MARKETING ACTIVITIES 
    • Researching key events and partnerships that are on brand and relevant for marketing activations on assigned campuses
    • Ideating and executing guerrilla marketing initiatives
    • Executing events, including publicity and logistics, with the support of ambassadors and Junior Manager of Field Events
    • Post-activity follow up: gathering reports, collating photos, retargeting
    • Creative ideation around wider regional marketing activities.
    • Assisting with other events & partnerships across the US as required.

    • GENERAL
    • Liaising with the Marketing Team to gather ambassador support for campaigns and events
    • Managing through Google Drive, with substantial experience using Google Sheets

Required Experience, Knowledge, & Skills:

    • 3-4 years of professional experience in field or field marketing (or a related background)
    • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring people 
    • Experience networking, recruiting, and training people a big plus 
    • Brand ambassador experience a big plus 
    • Understands Google Sheets in relation to people/regional management 
    • Extensive knowledge of United States culture and higher education landscape, as well as wide networks of contacts
    • Flexible and adaptable 
    • Self-starter: thrives on taking ownership of initiatives with limited oversight, leveraging and learning from successes and challenges of other emerging Bumble markets
    • Both creatively and strategically-minded and can localize a marketing strategy to hit or exceed KPIs
    • A strong track-record of making data-driven decisions to drive strategy and growth
