Badoo is looking for a Global Social Media Strategist to develop and implement Badoo’s social media strategy. Working cross-functionally, you’ll develop a plan to create content that achieves strong cut-through with our target audiences, engaging existing followers and attracting new ones. You’ll also take an active role in shaping our messaging, and be an advocate for our social followers internally.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB ROLE

    • Being the social media advocate in the Marketing team, you need to be our expert, abreast of developments, trends and innovations
    • Develop a plan that will grow and manage Badoo’s global social media channels in a timely and on-brand manner
    • Create a variety of engaging content, utilising in-house and external design/ video expertise as necessary, that will engage and land our key messages
    • Plan, brief and execute the delivery of social content in line with marketing activity occurring in each different territory
    • Develop guide materials and responses for use across Badoo’s social media channels
    • Develop a community management and engagement strategy
    • Share insights and feedback from social media channels with Badoo’s leadership team
    • Track and share social media highlights internally; and report performance against agreed KPIs
    • Work with the Performance Marketing team to develop paid social campaigns that deliver strong ROI
    • In conjunction with the Community Operations team, update Badoo’s knowledge base and ensure that it reflects common user questions, and that all social assets reflect brand guidelines
    • Collaborate with wider team to ensure consistency in look and feel of content
    • Develop our social voice and personality

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Deep experience in crafting and executing a social media strategy for a consumer brand
    • Expertise in reaching millennials via social media
    • Product-oriented and able to work closely with the Product and Community Operations teams
    • Degree qualified in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
    • Creative; strategic as well as hands-on. Detail-oriented, metric and result-driven. Entrepreneurial and proactive
    • Able to communicate ideas with clarity, inspiration and passion to a wide audience
    • Knowledge of the online and mobile dating sectors desirable
