The Audience Insights Manager will initiate and synthesize primary and secondary research into actionable business insights that drive the business forward. This role is for someone who loves rolling their sleeves up and diving into projects - could  do most research tasks yourself from the ground up yourself. This individual is experienced presenting and communicating insights (not just data) to executives. The role is based in St. Louis or Chicago and will require the candidate to be in the office 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities

    • Manage a wide variety of custom primary research studies from methodology design through final analysis and reporting.
    • Custom research studies could include: brand positioning, creative/concept evaluations, segmentation, market-sizing,  customer journeys, focus groups, observation, diary studies, content analysis, usability testing, and analysis of internal and external data
    • Perform data mining and statistical analysis to produce insights that drive data-driven marketing campaigns.
    • Translate the data into meaningful strategic and tactical recommendations based on these analyses.
    • Synthesizing data insights into a digestible format for key partners and delivering data-grounded presentations that uncover key trends, themes, and recommendations to address essential questions.
    • Provide thought leadership in the areas of data analysis and insights, and act as a subject matter expert for the organization
    • Develop questionnaires, discussion guides, analytical frameworks, and codeframes
    • Develop marketing dashboards, reports, and visualization that track key performance indicators

    • Knowledgeable in marketing research principles, appropriate research design for various stages of product life cycle, and quantitative and qualitative research techniques
    • Excellent analytic and organizational skills, strong and comprehensive research experience
    • Skilled in nurturing relationships, working collaboratively, listening and adapting
    • Excellent presenter and effective storyteller, ability to communicate implications of research findings in a way that changes behavior/outcome
    • Passion for culture and understanding how people think or interact with brands and the world around them

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, marketing research, business administration or related field 6+ years working in marketing research or agency insights/research position, working on both qualitative and quantitative research projects (preferred client side experience)
    • Experience with survey platform and statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, Qualtrics, Sawtooth)
    • Experience synthesizing quantitative and qualitative research into meaningful and impactful analysis 
    • Experience overseeing the project management of research work, with an understanding of processes and communication needed to deliver work on time and on budget
    • Preferred experience with Healthcare, Agriculture, and Energy
