Physical Therapist - Spanish Speaking Preferred

Homestart – Children's Services Team /
The Physical Therapist treats and examines children from birth to age 18 who have problems moving and performing other physical activities. Services will take place in the families home, community or clinic setting at Hope. The main responsibility as a Physical Therapist will be to coach parents and caretakers on unique strategies to improve their child's motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, gait difficulties and delayed motor development. In addition, collaboration amongst all team members is an essential part of this position.
o 0-15 hours per week, per client of consultation/services
o Provide Physical Therapy to families in the Homestart Program
o Provide age appropriate individual and/ or group activities
o Documentation of each visit (Home Visit Notes)
o Assessment on each child and monitoring progress as assigned
o Weekly attendance and monthly invoice
Requirements: The Physical Therapist should possess a BS or MS and a state license to practice Physical Therapy, 2+ years of experience in working with children with special needs, excellent communication skills & flexibility with hours
