About the role
The Product Planning and Marketing Team in the Smart Mobility Business Group is looking for a product management intern for a 12-month work period to drive product management activities for our autonomous diving products. We sit at the intersection of hardware design, software engineering, and business strategy. We shape high-level product goals but also get our hands dirty. On an average day, you might pitch a concept to senior leadership, create a launch plan with marketing, drive product issue resolution, work with system engineers to validate iterate on a spec, and work with an engineer to answer questions about implementation. We have ultimate responsibility for understanding our customer’s needs, influencing business strategy, specifying how the product should work, and working with engineering to develop our solution.
Responsibilities
· In conjunction with Product Planning and System Engineering, own and execute on several projects that span the breadth of the product manager experience
· Projects might include competitor analysis, market sizing, customer research, feature specification, and go-to-market planning
· Work closely with a Product Marketing and Product Planning manager to ensure that your work is aligned with and informs their product strategy or product roadmap
· Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales and Business Development on positioning products for customers and solving customer problems
· Work directly with our customers to unearth pain points and understand their most pressing needs
· Communicate with the rest of the product team the how and why for feature
Qualifications:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders
· Technical background in engineering, computer science preferred
· Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build strong analytical-based arguments, prioritize with business strategy in mind, and evangelize projects to build consensus within an organization
· Passion for solving technical and business problems
· Experience with product management, project management, engineering, computer science, semiconductor is a plus.
· Have an interest in the B2B technology landscape
· Be able to commit to a full-time (40 hrs / week) internship for at least 12 months
· Bilingual a big plus
