About the role
The Channel Marketing Manager will be aligned with key Star Channels (example Star Plus, NatGeo, etc) and will be tasked to drive adoption and engagement of entertainment content on Hotstar. They would own the key metrics to grow the channel content on the platform and work cross-functionally with marketing, product, analytics, creative, etc teams to influence these metrics. We are data-driven in everything we do: we carefully test and measure all of our communications, running dozens of tests at any point in time. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving skills, have background in brand marketing at FMCG / category management in e-commerce / product marketing in tech, and possess exceptional analytical and communication skills.
 
You will
·         Define and own key channel growth metrics to drive awareness, adoption, and retention of channel viewership
·         Identify key shows to promote on platform: Work with channel partners to get show level insights to identify priority concurrent shows. Also work with Hotstar content team to identify archival shows or shows from our catalog that have the potential to be big on the platform
·         Craft a messaging and positioning strategy for each show based on insights from social listening / consumer research
·         Leverage these insights to build promotional content which can be in the form of on platform video ads or off platform social creatives
·         Build relationships with channel partners to identify content that could be produced exclusively for Hotstar and which they can promote for Hotstar
·         Identify opportunities for Hotstar placement/partnership within the channels' show marketing programs 
 
You have
·         3+ years, preferably in FMCG brand management / e-commerce category management / strategy consulting / product marketing in tech
·         Experience leading the creative development process, including brief development, reviews and production
·         Ability to influence and lead a cross-functional team from idea to launch
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·         Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
