Video consumption in India has grown to 300 Mn users with avg. 70 min consumption a day. Hotstar is leading the change as the largest Video Platform in the country and has created world records in simultaneous viewing (25 Mn in CWC ’19)
We are investing in creating the biggest subscription business in India (Hotstar Pay). We want to create an awesome user experience combined with the best content -Sports (IPL, World Cup, India Bilateral series, Pro Kabbadi League Wimbledon, French Open, F1) and Entertainment (Hotstar Specials, American shows & movies from HBO, Disney, Marvel, Fox, Showtime, Hooq)
We want to build a world class analytics team to drive this change and build acquisition, engagement and retention journey for users. You will lead a team and be responsible for analytics behind user growth initiatives and help monitor performance. You will study user behavior, strategic initiatives, markets, content, and new features and bring data and insights into every decision we make. In essence, we’re looking at putting in some serious data-driven brains behind our subscription analytics!
What you will do
     Work with senior leadership and identify the right metrics to track
     Drive the thinking forward on growth levers across the subscription journey – acquisition, engagement and retention
     Build model to predict propensity to pay and identify what channels (or combination) are most effective to acquire users
     Perform data exploration to build customer segments and create
     Work with product and tech to build data infrastructure which enables faster data insights and enables the team to move quickly
     Lead a team of junior analysts
About You
     You have a deep understanding of numbers and a strong business sense for growth drivers
     You have at least 5+ years of experience in similar growth analytics / data science role
     You have degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline
     You have the technical competence to perform more advanced analytics
     Analytics tools experience (such as Pandas, R, Hive, SQL, or Hadoop)
     Experience performing analysis with large datasets
